How infrared asphalt repair works.Infrared asphalt repair works by heating the surface of your existing parking lot or paved area with infrared rays.
Depending on the depth of your parking lot’s problem, as well as the depth of the existing aggregate, infrared rays take between 5 and 10 minutes to heat up the existing asphalt. Once the asphalt hits 325º, we rake the area in order to remove the failed asphalt. We also replenish any lost oils which will help extend the life of the existing asphalt as well as the new aggregate we put down.
After raking and oiling, we add fresh material, continuing to rake and grade it in order for it to be level with your parking lot. It’s then compacted using vibration.
In Colorado, infrared technology is ideal for use in Spring, Summer and Fall.
